Surf & Serve

Costa Rica is known for it's surfing. 2008 marked the beginning of our new coastal ministry. If you have a team that is interested in surfing and also serving God then let us know. We believe that God created us so that we can combine our passions with our ministry to the world. At Pura Vida Missions, we love to surf and even more importantly we love to serve God by serving people. If you are interested in combining construction or VBS with surfing give us a call. We can make it happen.

Campamento de Ninos

Campamento de Ninos is the Pura Vida Missions' version of vacation Bible school. It's our vision to teach the children of Costa Rica to be disciples of Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus honored children and calls us to care for the least, the last and the lost. Each year we provide new curriculum that allows the children to walk through many parts of the Bible. You can help us do this by doing Campamento de Ninos in a fun and exciting way with puppets, games, Bible lessons, testimonies, music, crafts and more.

Ministry with Teens

Sometimes teenagers are the forgotten segment in society. Many teens in Costa Rica have to drop out of school to work and help provide money for their families or they simply can't afford to continue their education. There is a high teenage pregnancy rate in Costa Rica and drug use is on the rise. You can participate in ministry with teenagers through sports, (soccer, basketball, skate ministry), and evangelism. Often times, just taking the time to participate in activities with the youth in Costa Rica opens the doors for you to share the good news of Jesus Christ.

Construction/Painting/Home Repair

We added construction to our ministry in 2006 and had an amazing amount of success. During our 2007 ministry we installed over 45 new floors, replacing the dirt floors these families were living on. This was continued in 2008 and 2009 and will be each year we bring missionaries to Costa Rica. We are dedicated to helping improve the living conditions of families in Costa Rica. This is tough work but very rewarding to see children walk around on a new cement floor instead of dirt and mud or the excitement of a mother who finally has a toilet that will actually work. If your group has a construction team then we can put you to work.
